Sales Associate/Chocolatier’s Assistant

Job Description:
Laughing Gull Chocolates is searching for an enthusiastic and reliable worker. Associate must be available on Saturdays. Other hours are flexible and will vary. Chocolatier assistant and sales associate duties may include customer assistance, packaging and labeling of product, stocking product and supplies/ingredients, light food preparation, dishwashing, store maintenance including cleaning (wiping down sanitary surfaces, sweeping, mopping), and other tasks as necessary. Associate may also help with special event or workshop preparation, setup, and breakdown. Associate may be asked to assist as second sales associate for offsite events such as festivals and markets. Associate can expect 4-10 hours per week upon hire with possibility of increased hours during busy times.  Rate of pay is set at $15/hour.

Special Notes:
Associate must be 18 years or older to work with kitchen equipment and provide their own transportation to/from work and events. We work with both tree nuts and peanuts frequently in our kitchen. Associate may be asked to lift/transport boxes up to 50 lb.

Education/Experience:
Prior sales associate or kitchen experience helpful.
