Mysterious Bakery on Rue de Paris – FoodReads Book Club, November 2026

Welcome to FoodReads, a book club where we explore and discuss all types of food literature, from food-centric novels, to non-fiction picks about food and food systems, to memoirs written by food industry professionals, home cooks, and food lovers. And of course – we are chocolatiers – each book club gathering will involve our delicious, ethically-sourced chocolate!

Our November book selection is The Mysterious Bakery on Rue de Paris by Evie Woods. Book Summary: Nestled among the cobblestone streets of Compigne, there existed a bakery unlike any other. Rumors were whispered through the town that its pastries offered a taste of magic, chasing away the darkest of sorrows. Just one bite of a croissant might bring luck, unlock a precious memory or reveal hidden longings. But dark clouds were looming on the horizon…

MINIMUM ATTENDANCE: to run book club, we must have at least 6 people signed up. You will be notified and refunded if the gathering is cancelled.
